We liken the design of this apartment to an oasis of calm hovering above Taipei city. In the main public spaces, we deployed a very restrictive palette of color tones and materials. Lime stone is the primary finish laid on the floors and partial walls. A series of wooden wall panels and cabinets from solid maple compliments the limestone. Two linear elements bracket the round sofa in the living / dining area with the kitchen island and a solid Wenge dining table on either side. The bedrooms maintain the limestone flooring with the addition of grey and copper accents in each. ©copyright HO + HOU Studio Architects
